REGULATIONS
OF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
AMONG JUNIORS AND ADULTS,
AMONG SENIORS
AND
INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES
„ SAULĖS MIESTAS – 2010 “

IN KETTLEBELL LIFTING

1. Objectives and tasks.

  • Popularization of kettlebell lifting;
  • Strengthening of friendship between nations and development of the international cooperation in the domain of sport;
  • Attracting young people to sport;
  • Increasing sportsmanship, sharing experiences, revealing the strongest kettlebell lifters of Europe;

2. Dates and Location.
Location: track-and-field arena, 25 Daukanto Street, Siauliai, Lithuania
Date of competitions: May 13-17, 2010

Date of arrival and registration of participants on European Championship among juniors and adults: May 13.
Weighting and drawing:         On May 13 at 1700-2000;
Beginning of competitions:     On May 14 at 1000;
On May 15 at 1000.

Date of arrival and registration of participants on European Championship among seniors: May 15.
Weighting and drawing:         On May 15 at 1900-2100;
On May 16 at 0800-0900.
Beginning of competitions:     On May 16 at 1000.

Date of arrival and registration of participants on International Sport Games „ SAULĖS MIESTAS – 2010 “ : May 15.
Weighting and drawing:         On May 15 at 1900-2100;
On May 16 at 0800-0900.
Beginning of competitions:     On May 16 at 1000.

 

In European Championship among juniors and adults each country may field only one team (men – biathlon and long cycle, women – snatch),
in European Championship among seniors number of sportsmen are unlimited (men – biathlon and long cycle, women – snatch),
in International Sport Games „ SAULĖS MIESTAS – 2010 “  number of sportsmen are unlimited (men – biathlon, women – snatch).

3. Management of competitions.
Overall management of organization and carrying-out of the European Championship is supervised by the Lithuanian Federation of Kettlebell Lifting in collaboration with International Union of Kettlebell Lifting.

Overall management of organization and carrying-out of the International Sport Games “SAULĖS MIESTAS-2010“ is supervised by Lithuanian Committee of non-Olympic kinds of sport, Department of physical education and sport of Republic of Lithuania, Lithuanian Association of Sport Federations,  municipality of Siauliai and Administration of physical education in collaboration with Lithuanian Federation of Kettlebell Lifting.

Chief referee – president of the jury: Vigantas Tarutis (International category, Lithuania).

4. Participants.
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among juniors and adults is the individually-teams competitions and conducted  according to REGULATIONS of IUKL in 2010:

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among seniors is the individually-teams competitions and conducted according to REGULATIONS of IUKL on conducting of competitions among seniors:

 INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES are individual competitions and conducted with dividing of sportsmen into the two age groups: Juniors (U-22: 1987 year of birth and younger) and Adults.

Sportsmen of national federations and European countries, as well as representatives of national federations and non-European countries, who received personal invitation, are allowed to compete in the European Championship and International Sport Games. Sportsmen from non-European countries and countries without national federations, who received personal invitation, are also allowed to participate in the European Championship and International Sport Games.

If a sportsman is participating both in the OPEN EUROPEAN CUP and VI INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES, parallel result calculation is carried-out.

Each participating country may field one sportsman in each weight category in each event (biathlon, long cycle, snatch (women)) for the EUROPEAN Championship among juniors and adults, as well as unlimited team for EUROPEAN Championship among seniors and INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES.

Weight categories on EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among juniors and adults, INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES „ SAULĖS MIESTAS – 2010 “:
Men:                under 63kg, under 68kg, under 73kg, under 78kg, under 85kg, under 95kg, under
105kg, over 105kg;
Women:           under 58kg, under 63kg, under 68kg, over 68kg;

 

Ages groups and weight categories on EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among seniors:
Men:                40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and more;
Men:                under 63kg, under 73kg, under 85kg, under 95kg, over 95kg;
Women:           35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-65; 65 and more;
Women:           under 58kg, under 68kg, over 68kg;

      Equipment:
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Juniors, men:               32kg kettlebells.
Juniors, Women:         16kg kettlebells.
Seniors-men:                24kg, 16kg kettlebells, with passing to the facilitated weight of Kettlebells for the senior groups of ages (60 years and more senior).
Seniors-women:           16kg, 8kg kettlebells, with passing to the facilitated weight of kettlebells for the senior groups of ages (55 years and more senior).

      INTERNETIONAL SPORT GAMES „ SAULĖS MIESTAS – 2010 “
Men U-22:                   24kg kettlebells.
Women U-22:             16kg kettlebells.
Men (adults):               24kg kettlebells.
Women (adults):         16kg kettlebells.

Each team should have uniform dress with its county’s symbolic.
Country representatives should have a flag and a CD with the national anthem.

5. Kinds of competitions.

On CHAMPIONSHIP of EUROPE among juniors and adults ot a country is one collapsible command
 ( juniors, men, are a double-event, long cycle, relay race; women are a jerk).
 on CHAMPIONSHIP of EUROPE among veterans composition of commands without limitations (men are a double-event, long
cycle, women are a jerk).
 on  INTERNATIONAL SPORTING GAMES „SAULЛS MIESTAS – 2010“  composition of commands without limitations (men are a
double-event, women are a jerk).
Temporal regulation – 10 minutes on every exercise (shove, jerk, shove on a long cycle).

5. Events of the competitions.
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among juniors and adults
Individual:
Juniors, Men:               classical biathlon (classical “short” jerk + snatch)
long cycle (“long” jerk)
Juniors, Women:         snatch
Team classification:
Relay race                   juniors, men
Total Sum of points    for each team of juniors, men

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among seniors
Individual:
Men:                            classical biathlon (classical “short” jerk + snatch)
long cycle (“long” jerk)
Women:                       snatch
Team classification:
Total Sum of points    for each team

 

INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES
Individual:
Men (U-22 and adults):          classical biathlon (classical “short” jerk + snatch)
Women (U-22 and adults):     snatch

Time limit – 10 minutes for each event (jerk, snatch, long cycle).

 
6. Calculation of results and awarding.
The competition is managed according to Rules of the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting with amendments made on the day of competition.

Calculations of results:
Jerk – 2 points;
Snatch – 1 point (score is calculated by sum of repetitions made with right and left hand);
Long cycle – 1 point;
Total score in biathlon is calculated by sum of points for jerk and snatch.
Total score in snatch for women is calculated as a sum of repetitions made with right and left hand.
Winners in team classification are defined as followed:

  • 5 best results in biathlon (juniors or men);
  • 5 best results in long cycle (juniors or men);
  • 2 best results in snatch (juniors or women);

Points are calculated as followed:
1st place – 20 points;
2nd place – 18 points;
3rd place – 16 points;
4th place – 15 points and one point less for each following place;
In case of equal sum of points preference is given to a sportsman (team) with lighter sole weight.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among juniors and adults:
1st – 3rd place holders in individual classification in each weight category are awarded with medals and diplomas;
Commands, winnings in a relay race are awarded with cups, sportsmen – with medals;
1st – 3rd place holders in team classification are awarded with cups and diplomas.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among seniors:
1st – 3rd place holders in individual classification in each age group and weight category are awarded with medals and diplomas;
1st – 3rd place holders in team classification are awarded with cups and diplomas.

INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES:
1st – 3rd place holders in individual classification in each weight category are awarded with medals.

Drug test is provided during the championship. Registration of records is managed according to Regulations of Registration of IUKL.

7. Financial terms.
Expenses, which are associated with sportsmen participation in the European Championship and International Sport Games (travelling, feeding, accommodation expenses) should be covered by sportsmen or delegating organization.

Starting-fee:
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among juniors and adults:
Biathlon (men)                       20 EUR;
            Long cycle (men)                   20 EUR;
            Snatch (women)                     20 EUR;
Relay race                              25 EUR;

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP among seniors:
Biathlon (men)                       20 EUR;
            Long cycle (men)                   20 EUR;
            Snatch (women)                     20 EUR;

INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES:
Biathlon (men)                       10 EUR;
            Snatch (women)                     10 EUR;

Sportsmen and teams from countries, which are not members of the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting, should pay starting-fee at double rate.

Sportsmen and teams from countries, which are members of the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting, should pay starting-fee at double rate in case if their country has not paid annual fee for 2009 on the day of competitions.

Accommodation: 15-25 EUR/night, feeding may be organized in a hotel (70 Donelaichio, Siauliai). Hotel reservation and food orders should be announced in advance via e-mail gvilniskis@gmail.com

This regulation is official invitation for the championship.
